Biz Kids launch at The Plaza » Biz Kids launched their first market at The Plaza on Sunday 19 May. The brainchild of the recently appointed Manager at The Plaza, Anne Murphy, who is keen to inject some new initiatives around the area, and with assistance from local business woman, Christina Galvin, of Mums the Word, the team gathered together some of our Hibiscus Coast innovative kids to showcase their talents and sell their wares giving them an opportunity not previously available. 19 stalls were set up and managed successfully on the day with a wide variety of goods from baked goods, handmade crafts, hot donuts, jewellery and busking!  Tuesday, 21 May 2013 22:05

The club is family orientated, safe boating is the number one rule and organises fishing competitions as well as a variety of social events. We are currently running Childbirth Education (Antenatal) classes, Pregnancy Pilates with Peak Pilates and Psyhio, Baby You (up to 4mths), Moving and Munching (4-8mths), Toilet Learning Seminars and we are looking into expanding our course range to the needs of our local community in the near future. New Zealand Soap Box Derby Winner! »After a very successful Whangaparaoa Rotary Soap Box Derby on Saturday 6 April at Brightside Road the New Zealand Nationals were held at the same venue on Sunday 7 April with teams travelling from the four venues of West Auckland, East Auckland, Northcote and of course Whangaparaoa. The winner was a local boy from Orewa College, Dylan Smith who will travel to Akron, Ohio in the USA in July to compete in the International Division of the All American Soap Box Derby  Tuesday, 09 April 2013 17:47
